The Pacific Tyne industrial and residential development presented unique environmental and engineering challenges on ALC farmland. Metro Contracting executed peat excavation, preload installation, and lockblock wall construction while contending with soft ground conditions and a high water table. Our team worked in close partnership with geotechnical consultants and city personnel to exceed all regulatory standards. In an environmentally responsible approach, we successfully reused extracted peat material to establish a new farming field that meets ALC standards, preserving the land's agricultural value for future use.
